On a recent sojourn to the southern reaches of our fair nation, MAC stumbled upon this fellow, literally. After walking right through the set of David Simon’s latest HBO epic, Treme (pronounced “Truh-may” for those of you not in the know) – replete with clowns, drag queens and other assorted characters – she was training her camera upwards at the puffy cumulus clouds and wrought iron balconies that adorn the French Quarter. She looked down just in time to not run into this guy, who was standing perfectly, horrifying frozen in movement – just as if time had stood still. Many a passer-by tried to break his concentration, but he wavered not a millimeter. It took a lovely little lass of about three years of age to express interest in his toy dog to get him to break his concentration. MAC especially liked the carefree swing of his left hand. Now that’s talent.
